At just 16 years old, Richa a Ghosh emerged as a promising talent in Indian cricket when she earned a spot in the national squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020. Hailing from Siliguri, Richa quickly made her mark with her exceptional batting and wicketkeeping skills. Notably, Richa made headlines with a stunning knock in her third T20I against West Indies in November 2019, where she scored 36 off 26 balls, exhibiting her aggressive batting style.
Following her debut on the international stage, Richa’s rapid rise continued as she secured a central contract with the Indian team in May 2021, showcasing her consistency and dedication to the sport. Known for her aggressive batting style and ability to strike the ball cleanly, Richa became a sought-after player in the cricketing world.
Her talent did not go unnoticed in the franchise leagues either, as Royal Challengers Bangalore invested INR 1.90 Crore to acquire her for the Women's Premier League in 2023. Richa also made her Women's Test debut for India against Australia in December 2023.
